Located in Rehoboth Beach a few short steps from the boardwalk, Louie's Pizza is a family-owned and operated eatery and established part of the beach community for over 50 years.

Lazaros “Louie” Gouvas came to Rehoboth more than 50 years ago from the Macedonia region In Northern Greece. He came to work with his uncle, George, at George’s Lunch on Rehoboth Avenue and also spent time working for other Greek Restaurant owners In Philadelphia. George put Louie to work even though Louie didn’t know how to make pizza. “He said, ‘Give me a week, you’ll be a pizza-making expert’.”

In April 1974, after eighteen years at George’s Lunch, Louie started Louie’s Pizza at 11 Rehoboth Ave.

Louie still comes In every day, but his sons Tim & Tony along with Tony’s kids, Louie, Billy, and Sia, the second and third generations, have taken over the day-to-day operation at Louie’s and continue the traditions and recipes that have made Louie’s “Where the Locals Eat” for over 50 years.
